Life Balance and Satisfaction Assessment

Couples Life Satisfaction Wheel

Choose the areas that matter in your life, rate your satisfaction separately, and then use your results to better understand and support one another.

1. Categories
2. Spouse One
3. Spouse Two
4. Results

Build Your Shared Wheel

Suggested categories are already included. Together, rename, remove, or add any areas you would like to include.

Spouse One’s Ratings

Complete this section individually. Rate your current satisfaction in each area from 1 to 10. This is not a rating of your spouse.

Spouse Two’s Ratings

Spouse One’s ratings are hidden. Complete your own ratings without trying to guess or match your spouse’s answers.

Your Life Satisfaction Wheels

Before discussing your results: Do not immediately react to, defend against, or correct your spouse’s rating. Different numbers do not mean someone is right or wrong. Take turns sharing what you were thinking about when you selected each rating.

Spouse One’s Wheel

Each section fills outward according to the satisfaction rating.

Center = 0   •   Outer edge = 10

Spouse Two’s Wheel

Each section fills outward according to the satisfaction rating.

Center = 0   •   Outer edge = 10

Continue the conversation: Ask one another what experiences, needs, hopes, concerns, or recent events influenced each rating. Then ask: “What could I do this week to help raise your satisfaction level by just one degree in any category where you would like my help?”

We are so glad you have decided to use the Love Ministries Life Balance Assessment Tool. This assessment tool is a simple, yet profound way of helping married couples increase their personal satisfaction levels within many categories of life.

Instructions for Using the Life Balance Wheel:

Complete the Wheel Individually
Each person should begin by filling out their own Life Balance Wheel. You may adjust or create new categories that reflect areas of life important to you.
Rate Each Category
For each category, take time to reflect on all the factors that contribute to your satisfaction in that area. Then, rate your current satisfaction level.
Save, Print, and Share
Once completed, you can save, print, and share your wheel. We encourage you to share your results with your spouse, a life coach, or a trusted friend who can walk with you on your growth journey.
Reflect and Discuss
When sharing, take time to explain:
What you thought about when rating each category.
Why you rated it the way you did.
What aspects of that category stood out to you.
Identify Small, Sustainable Changes
Focus on small, attainable steps that could increase satisfaction in any low-rated areas. You or your spouse can ask, “How can I help you raise your satisfaction by even 1° this next week?”
Avoid overwhelming changes. We aim for sustainable habit-building, not short bursts that fade quickly.
Reassess Over Time
Return to your Life Balance Wheel after a few weeks to see how your satisfaction levels have shifted. Use this to celebrate progress, adjust goals, and continue building healthy habits.
